Austin, Texas Tuesday May 10, 2016 SACHEM welcomed a new Chief Technology Officer to the company last month. After conducting a national search and considering a large pool of highly qualified candidates, Dr. Ari Kar was selected and joined SACHEM, Inc. on April 29th as the new CTO. Ari Kar is an intuitive leader and collaborative problem solver with acute business acumen and expertise in building and leading global high performance teams to drive trans-formative change, innovation, and value creation.
He most recently served as Senior Technology Director and Technology Director of Innovation at Halliburton. In those roles, he led large technology teams and was a member of the cementing global business leadership team. Prior to that, he was the Director of Research and Development at Champion Technologies and Program Director of Structural Materials at Dow Chemical. His past experience has included development in pharmaceutical, polymers, leather, personal care, composites, coatings, water purification and oilfield markets. Ari received his Ph.D. in Organic Chemistry from the University of Nevada in Reno and was a Post-doctoral Research Fellow at Stanford University. He is relocating from Houston to Austin to join the SACHEM family.
