The Process Engineer provides engineering support to improve efficiency of plant hydroxide processes. This position is responsible for evaluation of process design parameters and leading measures for improvements to increase productivity, process quality, and overall competiveness through improved manufacturing costs.
Key Responsibilities:
Health, Safety, Environment, Ethics: Participates in HSEE audits, identifies and corrects unsafe issues, evaluates ongoing PPE requirements for safe handling of hydroxides, supports environmental efforts, works ethically and with integrity. Upholds Organizational values.
Plant Maintenance: Monitors process equipment to identify potential errors and develops solutions to eliminate the re occurrence of those problems. Evaluates downtime trends and works to improve those trends.
Operational and Technical Support: Understands all plant hydroxide processes, troubleshoots process problems and identifies solutions which reduce downtime and conserve maintenance costs.
Develops and updates process procedures to ensure that documentation is accurate and understandable and trains operators in the use of new installations. Answers operation associates questions regarding process concepts and procedures.
Assist in determining product specifications for new products and markets and works with product design teams and other departments to formulate a manufacturing process.
Develops safe operating and maintenance procedures and trains associates working with new or changed processes.
Develops process changes derived from statistical data of hydroxide processes that improve OEE, product quality, and product costs.
Continuous Improvement of Quality: Designs methods for maintaining or increasing production levels while improving production costs, yields, quality, and safety. Works with maintenance team to evaluate performance of key equipment and parts in the hydroxide processes. Identifies any parts life that looks abnormal.

Education and/or Experience
Bachelor’s Degree in Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or Process Engineering and at least six years related experience.
