REACH (Registration, Evaluation and Authorization of Chemicals) is the new EU legislation for the chemical industry. REACH is applicable across the whole industry chain and will be phased-in over 11 years. Effective June 2007, REACH replaces all EU legislation relating to chemical substances.
With REACH, the European Community aims to improve the protection of human health and the environment through better identification of chemical substances. REACH gives greater responsibility to industry to manage chemical risks and related safety and handling information. REACH provisions will be phased-in over 11 years.
As global specialty chemical science company, SACHEM fully supports REACH objectives. On the following pages, we hope to provide helpful information to you concerning REACH regulatory requirements and what SACHEM is doing in response to REACH.
SACHEM Europe B.V. is SACHEM’s representative for all REACH related information. For questions regarding REACH and SACHEM, please contact us at reach@sachemeurope.nl.
