SACHEM achieves high capacity, high purity and high recovery for the purification of oligonucleotides and peptides through selectively designed displacers and displacement chromatography.
(Austin, TX)– May 12, 2008 – SACHEM will be exhibiting at TIDES® booth #120 in Las Vegas the week of May 19. Dr. Barry Haymore, Director of New Technology Development, will be presenting a poster on SACHEM’s displacers for use in displacement chromatography.
The poster, titled “Obtaining High Purity, High Recovery With High Capacity All At Once: Purifying Oligonucleotides Using Displacement Chromatography and New Displacer Molecules” demonstrates the value of SACHEM’s displacers and displacement chromatography. SACHEM’s displacers, such as Propell™ offer a simple way to convert ion exchange analytical columns into effective tools for obtaining large quantities (100+ mg) of purified oligonucleotides in a single displacement run. Propell™ displacers are uniquely designed to work effectively in displacement mode yet are still easily removed from chromatography columns.
In addition, SACHEM will offer “The Propell™ Challenge” at the exhibition booth at TIDES® 2008. “The Propell™ Challenge is a game that helps us illustrates the principals of displacement chromatography in a fun way”, explains Rosemary Hoffman, Director, Biotechnology Solutions Group. Top winners of The Propell™ Challenge will be awarded the new iPod nano.
