We are seeking a Regional Account Manager. In this position, you will play a significant role in the SACHEM America business unit which has demonstrated a proven track record of growth. This position will lead the sales team effort in the Central United States territory and have primary responsibility for existing accounts in the electronics, catalyst, oil field and specialties markets. In addition, the region has significant growth opportunities in both existing and new markets; therefore considerable time will be required in business development activities. Electronic chemicals, zeolite materials or oil field chemical experience is highly desired as many opportunities for growth exist in these rapidly expanding markets. The specific duties and responsibilities include all of the following and more:

• Meet or exceed projected sales revenue forecast for your assigned accounts
• Lead strategic sales activities to promote Sachem products to customers, market segments, events
• Foster and build long term relationships with our customers to understand their business drivers
• Provide an excellent customer experience by providing services and technical support
• Consult with customers by helping them resolve and problem solve application problems or issues
• Develop technical competence and knowledge around SACHEM’s product line and current industry
• Identify and develop new opportunities with existing and new products within the territory or accounts
• Negotiate terms for most favorable outcomes for both Sachem and customers
• Manage and collaborate with other areas to complete quotes, bids, sales contracts
• Provide marketing input for sales enablement tools, collateral and brand strategy
• Help maintain a safety-focused and injury-free environment by proactively addressing any deficiencies

Required Skills and Abilities
• Proven sales and service track record in the chemicals market for 5+ years
• Additional 10+ years working in chemical industry
• Strong technical problem solving skills are required.
• Understanding of chemicals developed for zeolite and oilfield markets
• Strong organization and communication skills to solve problems, relate with customers, and collaborate internally
• Adherence to sales policies, processes, and CRM maintenance (Salesforce)
• Ability to travel 50% or more as needed
• Degree preferred in Chemical Engineering, Chemistry or similar scientific field
• Any experience with continuous improvement initiatives is highly valued
• Must have valid driver’s license and clean driving record
