Wuxi, Jiangsu Province, PRC – August 12, 2010 — SACHEM has taken another step towards environmental responsibility and cleaner production by increasing the energy efficiency of its production processes and by implementing strategies to prevent pollution.  The SACHEM Wuxi plant recently received a formal certification in the “Clean Production” program, signifying excellence and accomplishment in the environmental arena.

The “Clean Production” program is the continuous application of an integrated, preventative  environmental strategy towards processes, products and services in order to increase overall efficiency and reduce risks for humans and the environment.   Through the efforts of our associates in Wuxi, significant improvement opportunities were identified, organized and executed to save costs related to waste treatment, raw materials, energy and water.  SACHEM successfully completed a formal audit to achieve the certification.

SACHEM Wuxi is SACHEM’s newest facility in Wuxi, Jiangsu, P.R.C.  The facility is approximately 80,000 square meters includes state-of-the-art technology for production of high purity Tetramethylammonium Hydroxide (CAS#: 75-59-2) and other specialty performance products in the catalyst, carbohydrate and starch industries.
