December 5, 2022 The USDA BioPreferred® Program is celebrating it’s 20th Anniversary and SACHEM has earned the badge of champion for our continued involvement. This badge signifies our long-term commitment to using renewable materials, reducing our reliance on petroleum, supporting the bioeconomy, and bettering the planet.
SACHEM’s Saskine™ 70 and Saskine™ 80MB are both USDA Certified Biobased Products. This means they are derived from plants and other renewable agricultural, marine, and forestry materials. Biobased products provide an alternative to conventional petroleum derived products and include a diverse range of offerings such as construction, janitorial, and grounds-keeping products specified and purchased by Federal agencies, to personal care and packaging products used by consumers every day.
The BioPreferred Program has accomplished a lot since it was established in the 2002 Farm Bill, the momentum and growth in the bioeconomy is growing.
